The group was formed in 1995 and was firstly named Wolverine. They come from Thessaloniki, Greece, and they changed their name to Out Of The Lair in the year 2000. After some line-up changes and taking part in many gigs as a support group for bands like: Evergrey, Sentenced, Nevermore, Candlemass, On Thorns I Lay, Rotting Christ, Primordial and others, they recorded this album which was financed by themselves and not under a label! The current line up is: Spyros (guitars, vocals), Dim (guitars), George Kantzios (bass) and Dionysis Nikolaidis (drums). The music that these guys play is classic heavy metal with many melodies and many interesting moments. Most of the tracks have heavy riffs, interesting vocals, nice lyrics and catchy refrains. I must also mention that in the last two tracks Sakis, Rotting Christ's vocalist, does some guest vocals. There are also some female vocals in two tracks made by Eleonora. These two guests musicians make the album more interesting and give a different atmosphere so that the album can become enjoyable and for people who like more aggressive music… The production is very nice and is made by George Pyrgos and Out Of The Lair. Lets go now to the booklet, which is very well and professionally designed. It has a wonderful artwork and includes all the lyrics and information about the band. Finally, the CD contains some multimedia extras such as video, lyrics, biography, photos etc. I believe that with a little more effort the band is ready to sign a contract and release its next album.
